Day trip to discover the secrets of the pharaos by visiting their unique temples.
Overview of your tour:
On this tour, we’ll move away from Luxor in our private vehicle, as to explore the secrets of the ancient Egyptians in more remote places.
We’ll visit Abydos, a place where the ancient egyptians believed God Osiris (Lord of the Underworld) was buried at. The paintings of the Gods and Pharaohs on the walls of the Osiris Temple at Abydos are among the most beautifully preserved in Egypt. This special temple also has a unique inscription: a list that contains mostly every king of Egypt, with some exceptions. Who were these left out Kings? I’ll tell you and explain the reason why.
King Seti I started building this temple, but it was completed by his son, King Ramsess II, and it’s located about 420 km south of Cairo and 135 km from Luxor.
We’ll also head to Dendera, at the north of Luxor, where the Temple of Hathor, Goddess of Love and Joy is located. Visiting this temple, you’ll enjoy discovering it has the most beautiful ceiling of all Egyptian temples.
